Errenazimenduan historiaren barrutian jaio zen Tubalen ondotik dator Erromantizis
-moan legenda jaioleku izan zuen Aitor. Ez ditu bakarrik jaiotze garaiak eta jaiolekuak bereizten. Baita iturri desberdinetatik edanaz sortuak izateak ere. Haatik, Garibayk moldatutako Tubalek eta Xahoren eskutik datorren Aitorrek euskaldunen jatorria eraikitzen dute, asmo jakinari erantzunez: giza komunitate honen identitate
ezaugarriak definitu gainerako komunitateen aurrean.
Tubal hunde sus raíces en la historia de la época renacentista, mientras Aitor lo hace en la leyenda de la época romántica. Además de la época y el tipo de texto en el que se conforman, las diferencian las fuentes a las que acudieron sus respectivos autores. Sin embargo, comparten fines. Tanto Garibay al acudir al Patriarca Tubal como Xaho al Patriarca Aitor pretenden presentar los rasgos de identidad de un pueblo en relación a los demás.
Tubal plonge ses racines dans l’histoire de la Renaissance, alors qu’Aitor a les siennes dans la légende de l’époque romantique. Mis à part l’époque et le type de texte dans lesquels ils naissent, leurs différences viennent des sources auxquelles leurs auteurs respectifs ont fait appel. Ils ont pourtant les mêmes buts. Garibay, lorsqu’il évoque le Patriarche Tubal et Xaho, lorsqu’il évoque le Patriarche Aitor, veulent tous les deux montrer des traits d’identité d’un même peuple par rapport aux autres.
Tubal was born in the midst of the history of the Renaissance while Aitor does so in the legend of the Romantic period. These two legends are not only distinguished from each other by the eras and places of birth, but also because they were created by feeding from different sources. However, Tubal adapted by Garibay and Aitor by Xaho construct the origin of the Basques by addressing one aim: to define the identity features of this human community before the rest of the communities.
